Hutterite Brothers, North Dakota

from 50.00

Jason and Jesiah Waldner are two Hutterite brothers living on a communal farm near Fordville, North Dakota.

The Hutterites, an often-persecuted Christian Anabaptist sect from Europe that fled to America's northern plains states and Canada in the 1870s, live by a very simple code. They eat, live and work together and do not own personal property. Like their Amish religious "cousins," they shun modern forms of communication (TV, radio, movies) in order to avoid the materialistic "temptations" of contemporary society.
